To Town

While walking back from town to see if the ice cream shop is open for the season, I took some photos that sparked our interest along the way.

The ice cream shop was not open yet. It was disappointing, but there was ice cream to be found at the hardware store! This is were the photos began...

Is this really an ice cream bar? Enzo said it looked like dirt and maybe something else too.

A piece of history... when all the news and advertisements were stapled to a plank of wood or post.

She was put up on the wall to catch the eye of another passer by and possibly someone to take her home.

A Splash of Green III

Collection of Green  20.12

Another year of green abundance!

A little someone put some peas in my smoothie!

The Sunflowers and wires caught my eye because of the contrast and also the similarities.

Watching my son play army on the beach contributed to this scene with a larger than life view. I also used this photo to create one of his birthday invitations.

Walking into the garden I noticed seeds on top of a sunflower and wondered why they were there. Later on the same day, I saw birds perched on top, eating seeds they had picked.

The beginning before blossoming.

My daughter walking in the sculpture garden.

The vibrant green of new growth.

Reflection of the sky near Lake Superior.

The kids found a baby turtle in the yard and wanted to make sure it stayed safe. They put it into a container with water and parsley and brought it to the nearby pond.

A Splash of Green II

Viewing another year of photos, the color green was abundant.

Here are some of my favorites!

A Splash of Green

Years ago, I created a Visual Diary using photographs of what our family did each day including everything that caught my eye. I loved how the images flowed from one day to the next.

Collection of Green 20.10

Recently, I stumbled upon a grouping of these photos ready to be printed and saw how wonderful they looked gathered together. At the same time the color green spoke to me (maybe because of winter!) of how much joy and energy it radiates.

Some of my favorites.....

Winter Sun

In the summer, I often forget about the winter sun that shines in our kitchen until winter comes along and we are warmed by the suns rays.
