Orange Crisp

A little pick me up of color during the crisp winter days.

This is one of many projects on the back burner. After bringing it back upstairs from being put away during the holidays, I found it desperately needed some loving care.

The process was very easy and didn't take long at all. When this one begins to fall apart, I won't wait so long to redo it!

The before photo is the remnants of the work with a surprise mark of Masland Duran. Beautiful font! When changing the fabric it was difficult for me to not keep it "as is" because of my passion for history!

And at the same time the vinyl was so worn, it was poking us in all the wrong places!

Golden Numbers

I purchased the multi-colored numbers and letters for my kids when they were little and since they've grown and I like to give new purpose to items in my home, a little gold spray paint dramatically changed the numbers from colorful fun to elegant!

The dear daughter of one of my dear friends suggested I also add photos of the newspaper I used when spray painting the numbers. Cool!

A New Look

This toy box was once a honey wood color painted white when it arrived at my home. After sitting in the garage for months patiently waiting for a new look, I chose some leftover "Persian Blue" paint from another project and spray paint in two tones of gray. The herringbone theme is still going strong!

Before & After

There is a story with many of the items that are acquired...this chair belonged to a dear friend and were used during all their gatherings (maybe she'll continue the story!)  She added four of these chairs to a garage sale and they didn't sell, even the donation truck wouldn't take them. I thought to give them a new life and here is the first one!

Our vegetable garden has been growing each year and since it had been created, I wanted to put a wire fence around it.  The fencing is quite expensive, so I thought to buy a section at a time.  Well, the universe spoke to me as I stumbled upon some white fencing at a garage sale (for free!).  Painted a cherry red, they pop against the green foliage.
