The other day my daughter asked me, "Do
you know how many pointe shoes a ballet dancer uses in a year?" She goes along to
say, "One pair for each day of practice, one pair for each rehearsal
and a pair for each performance."
I thought, "That is a lot of sewing on ribbons and elastics!"
Seeing how excited Mila was to have her pair of pointe shoes ready for class the following day and having sewed her previous pair, I hoped to easily attach the ribbons and elastics.
She returned home from class saying they had to be redone! Oh no, so
much for my You Tube lesson! I decided to sew them in exactly the same manner as the first
pair with fittings in between. On point!
