I was asked by the local farm to create a three dimensional educational cow. They let me know their criteria including the size and the educational bits, blood draw, giving shots and birthing. I was talking to my dad about it and he volunteered to help! Thank goodness because he figured out all the mechanisms for the blood draw and the shots along with it being extra safe for the kids.
I began with the drawing of the cow and since it needed to be certain dimensions, the cow needed to be on land. Otherwise, there would be one proportionally gigantic cow that we couldn't move around. After my dad was done putting the cow together, I began painting it. I also worked on the birthing section and sewed the calf without a pattern.
It was a wonderful project to do with my dad and it was especially difficult to have it end, because of all the fun we had! Thank you Dad! This time together meant a lot to me!
The calf turned out pretty cute!
